About

Max is originally from Denver, CO but has lived and worked in many parts of the country, most recently the Boston metro where he managed pricing and product strategy with Liberty Mutual and Homesite Insurance. Max pivoted toward client service in 2020 when he began building a financial planning practice with Northwestern Mutual. 

Now, as a founding member of Thrive Financial Partners, Max is thrilled to bring his strategic and technical skill sets to help other enterprising and forward-thinking professionals do more than they thought possible. 

Max is a proud alum of both UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and Oklahoma State University. He has two incredible children who he hopes will pick up his love of music and the outdoors. 

Lynn Bowser is the Founding Partner of Thrive Financial Partners which was established in 2023. Lynn has been in financial services for ten years. She works with clients to create meaningful, vision centered financial plans.  After attending Syracuse University, she started her career at Northwestern Mutual where she was a Financial Advisor in her hometown of Syracuse, NY. During her first five years at the company, she became a national speaker for leadership, growth, and high achievement as a woman in finance. In 2019, Lynn and her family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina for her to become the Managing Director of the Lake Norman in the Northwestern Mutual office.

Among many other achievements, Lynn has been awarded 50 Most Influential Women in Charlotte in 2020 and America’s Women Magazine Woman of the Year in 2021. She has been the emcee for the Charlotte Business Journal’s Women in Business awards from 2019- 2023 and the CBJ’s 40 under 40 in 2022. Lynn has spoken at the Northwestern Mutual Annual Meeting, Regional Meeting, Women’s Affinity Summit, and many network offices across the country. She is driven by impact in her community and inspiring people to achieve their true potential whilst chasing their most amazing dreams.

Lynn married her husband, Ryan in 2005. They have three children, Caitlyn, Michael, and Emily. They live in Huntersville, NC and love being a part the LKN community. Volunteerism is one of the family’s core values. They volunteer at numerous local food banks and shelters, as well as sponsor children in third world countries. The Bowsers are active in their church community, enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Paige grew up in Syracuse, New York where she currently still lives. Paige started working with Lynn in 2013 as their family nanny. Starting in 2015 she continued working along with Lynn, but now as her associate Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual. In May 2023, she joined Lynn at Thrive Financial Partners as Director of Operations. Paige is known to build strong relationships with our clients and assisting them to make sure they have the best onboarding experience. In Paige’s spare time, she can be found working out, traveling, and spending time with family/friends.

Adrian Nagy is originally from the twin cities area in Minnesota. He attended the University of Minnesota and upon graduation was accepted into Mitchell Hamline’s School of law where he attained his JD. Upon passing the bar exam his wife, Kristina, was accepted into the Salisbury VA psychology residency program in NC in 2019. Adrian has also been serving in the Army National Guard since 2014. From 2021-2022, he deployed to the middle east where he commanded a tank platoon in multiple different training and security missions. He played an active role in the pullout of Afghanistan during the summer of 2021 helping refugees as they arrived in Kuwait. He has been a financial professional since 2019 and works heavily with the military community. Adrian resides in Cleveland NC with his wife Kristina, and their husky Nova. They love using their boat on Lake Norman and enjoying the beautiful NC weather. 

Emily Barnwell is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. Emily spent the earlier half of her career in Juvenile Justice, working both in a locked juvenile facility and supervising youth in the community. After her son, Hudson, was born in 2021, she decided to change career paths and began working at Northwestern Mutual in Lake Norman under Lynn’s leadership. During that time, Emily worked as the Director of Development before transitioning into the Director of Talent Acquisition for the firm. Emily joined Lynn at Thrive Financial Partners as the Chief Growth Officer, Founding Member in April 2023. She has a passion of helping people reach their self-defined success. Emily resides in Huntersville, NC with her husband Chad, son Hudson, dog Bronx and cat Kimber. She is an advocate in the infertility world and enjoys spending time in the mountains of North Carolina.

As a seasoned financial leader with over a decade of experience, Drew has established a reputation for excellence in financial analysis, strategic planning, and operational optimization. With a background as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer in diverse industries, Drew has a proven track record of driving substantial revenue growth, implementing data-driven solutions, and forging key partnerships to maximize profitability.

Drew brings a unique blend of financial acumen and communication skills to the role of Financial Advisor, where he leverages his expertise to provide tailored financial solutions and empower clients to achieve their financial goals with confidence.

Drew married his beautiful wife Lesley in 2015 in Hilton Head. They have two wonderful children, Hudson and Peyton, and he is a proud alum of The University of Tennessee (Go Vols!).  Drew and his wife have been active members in the Lake Norman community for the past 10 years.
